Our team of complementary therapists’ tailor programmes to each person’s needs and may involve a single therapy or a combination of techniques.  Sessions provide a safe space where patients and their carers can take a little time out of their daily challenges and achieve a sense of wellbeing. The service consists of highly trained therapists who provide outpatient appointments in bespoke therapy rooms in the Hospice, on the Inpatient Unit, in people’s own homes or as part of the Living Well Service programme.

We now have an opportunity for someone to join us as our Complementary Therapy Team Coordinator based from our Hospice in Cambridge. This is a permanent role, working 21 hours per week.

This role will be responsible for the co-ordination of the complementary therapy team and service across the hospice to ensure that we deliver a high standard of complementary therapy services to patients and their families.

Main duties will include:

Planning, implementing and reviewing the complementary therapy treatments to ensure they meet individual needs at each therapy session.
Oversight of each team members caseload and prioritising work / treatments as required
Acting in a supervisory role for Healthcare Assistant’s and volunteers in the team
Acting as a direct support for team members within the Living Well Service, including undertaking 1:1 meetings
Providing treatment sessions and support to Bereaved clients as appropriate.
Undertaking clinical supervision.  
To be successful in this role candidates must hold a minimum of 2 High level qualifications in Complementary Therapy related subjects along with registration with a validated complementary therapy organisation. It is also required to have previous experience of working in a complementary therapy setting along with skills within supervising and leading others.

Due to the nature of the role it is a requirement for the postholder to hold a UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Starting salary of £28,976, with opportunities to progress to £35,273
