Introduction
I have been an aromatherapist for nearly 30 years, having previously worked in the City. I qualified as a Bowen therapist in 2002 and in the Emmett technique in 2018. I am CNHC registered in both Bowen and aromatherapy.
Bowen is a light touch therapy, no manipulation or adjustment involved, and is generally done over light clothing. It is suitable for all ages, and aims to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms you present with on the day.
Bowen can be helpful for pain management, back pain, general aches and pains, sciatica, stress, 'tech neck' and so on. It has been reported to help with sleep problems, low mood and relaxation.
