Introduction
In 1992 my marriage broke down and I found myself at home with my 18-month-old son. I had left my job as a Nuclear Medicine Radiographer in London and had come back up to Lancaster. I enrolled on an IHBC Beauty Therapy Course at the local College. Consequently, I was awarded the Stella Baxter Trophy for best part time beauty therapy student. This motivated me to additionally obtain diplomas in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology from the same college. I started my own business as a mobile beauty therapist, also working 1 day a week at my local hair salon, alongside doing bank Radiography shifts. I went back to college and did my Advanced Aromatherapy Course where I was introduced to Reiki. I am now a Reiki Master and Teacher.
